I was wondering since it is stated that payments for badges can be done through mail by check or through paypal.
In a screen shot it appears that putting credit card information is perhaps an acceptable way of paying for badges, is that true? Or will you not accept that method of paying?

EDIT- Nevermind paypal works.

I got a real quick question: What time do the lines start forming for registration. My friends and I are registering at the con and we want to get there as early as possible.

Depends on your definition of forming.

For on-site/at-con registration we are scheduled to open at 9am on Friday morning.
This is what I have had in the past when running registration.

I have had people show up Thursday at 8-9 pm when i've been doing initial set up.
I DO NOT recommend doing this, but its a public area and camping outside the registration room's door is between you and hotel security.

The line will usually start being wrangled/controlled once myself and/or security is on site friday morning. (Usually between 7-8 am for myself.)

I can't find my notes from last year, but I believe we cycled the lines in under an hour for both pre-reg and reg. Might of been 2.
Meaning if you got in line at the point registration opened you got your badge in under that time.

I was wondering how long does it take to mark on the website if paying by check? I sent in a check a couple of weeks ago and the website still reads my group as being unpaid for.

It can take a couple of weeks since Dusti is handling those and he tends to do them in batches.

You can check in with him by PMing him at Dusti or emailing him at registration@ohayocon.org

Just as an extra bit of peace of mind in the future, consider sending it with delivery confirmation. You can have the information emailed to you with the post office (and i think it's pretty cheap to do).

Something to think about if you're sending a huge check...

I posted this question elsewhere, I guess I should've posted it here. My bad:

I registered for Ohayocon in the Dealer's Room at Anime Crossroads, and I was told I'd get an email within 2 to 3 days. It's been a week, and so far, no email. I have the receipts and the payment slip and I was wondering if anyone knew how long I should wait before pestering the staff with emails. Thanks!

Actually you were fine asking it in its own post.

I just hadn't answered because I don't have an answer yet.

I'm checking with the people that man our tables. They might of not just had time to enter it in to the system yet.

Sorry about the wait.

Hey, if you're running panels at the convention, do you have to preregister, or do you get a free badge as in years past?

Panelists need to do a certain number of panels to get a free badge.

Contact programming@ohayocon.org for more information.

Yes they will be available at the convention, just ask for them when you are purchasing an adult badge.

Hey Godai,

Sorry to bother again, have you found anything out? I tried sending an email about a week and a half ago, no one's gotten in contact with me yet. What should I do?

I'm working on it. Apparently the person who had the info from that con is having trouble accessing the system.

Please bear with me as its the holidays so people's time are a bit tight.

If I were to purchace a children's badge, but have already pre-reg'd for myself ((I'm older then 13)) would I be able to get the free badge for him, or do I have to buy an adult badge, and include the children's badge in my purchase. Also, since I'm not his parent, if I bought a pre-reg badge would this be allowed or do I need to be his parent. Can I get a free child's pre-reg badge? Or does it need to be purchased at the door.

Email with the child's name and the name of the pre-reg badge of yours and it will get added.

Times have not been set. But there will be Thursday pick up for pre-regs. Just no at-con registration on Thursday.
